The Uplift being a DAO in actuality takes a community to enact change.  Whether it be from platform development choices, land revenue streams, or new rail designs for up and coming worlds, the final direction is pressed forward on as voted on by the DAO token holders.  For this one we dive into the most recent proposal concerning a new direction in regards to the Rules and Bans Committee of our collective metaverse.

Final Proposal: Rules & Bans Updated Mandate

Summary

To update, reposition and clarify the Rules and Bans Committee Mandate, roles assisted with since the empowerment of Sadisty and new roles to be created within Management of the Rules and Bans Committee and Chair.

Original mandate pre empowerment of Sadisty;

Mandate:
Make new in-game rules, work with devs or operations committees for game-based enforcement where possible. Manage discord support system. Approve restoration of in-game items or their removal. Add, remove, and work with observers. Look for violations, ban or shadowban players, listen to unban appeals, develop documents with new or updated information for marketing to make pretty and publish. Members can access moderation tools.
Budget: 500 shards/month

Role: Discord Wizard
Duties: Manage channels, permissions, bots, tools, and roles. Build connections between in-game and discord as well as between discord and the various platforms the DAO supports. Work with the Marketing Committee to increase discord size and engagement. Assist various Committees with integrations and channels within Discord. Manage and develop the Support Ticket system, to include seeking prompt resolution of support tickets and early troubleshooting of certain issues to act as a “triage” for other roles. Create and manage spreadsheets/forms related to Discord voting/polls.

Duties: Chair Rules & Bans Committee. Access the highest level of moderation tools as well as server logs.

To affirm WAX & ETH bursaries suspended due to terrible market conditions has passed, bursaries of Moderator Coordinator and Discord Wizard have been changed to 250 Shards and 1500 UDT per month.

The Rules and Bans Committee from here would like to:

• Absorb the Duties and Bursaries of everything listed above; Discord Wizard, Hammer and Moderator Coordinator. Shard Bursaries will be dispersed from within the R&B at the discretion of the R&B Chair, set role bursaries and activity system in place
• Receive a small increase and total combined Bursary of 1500 Shards and 4500 UDT Per Month
  An Increase of 350 Shards and 1500 UDT from original total combined bursary
• Create small team branches for the roles Discord Wizard and Hammer, to be managed by the Lead and R&B chair together.
• Dissolve Moderator Coordinator into a primary Responsibility bound to R&B chair.
