I’m thinking ranging from 5$-50$. If we do pack sales we can average out the cost to number of packs. (i miss opening packs lol #degen)
Pay volunteers in shard bursary and/or $UP (I’ll be volunteering day one)
Sell ticket NFTs for each type of upgrade (or randomized packs??)
Process would be to send your land NFT + a ticket to us, we send a one of one back.
Revenue Allocation Ideas
We NEED NEED NEED to start creating ways to cultivate ongoing revenue for the Uplift. We are still bleeding money and members of the team are shouldering that burden personally. This said in no way should anyone feel like they NEED to play around with Land 2.0, although I will be creating proposals to incentivize it. 😉

Purchase with WAX or FIAT only
10% & 90% WAX
50% UPLIFTIUM BLENDS & 50% WAX or FIAT
100% UPLIFTIUM BLENDS
Eg. 10%/90$ split: We sell 100 NFT tickets to be redeemed for an upgrade. 10 NFTs traded in UPLIFTIUM BLENDS, 90 NFTs sold for WAX or FIAT.
*prices will be dollar relative since there will be humans spending labor time getting these things created.
Once ticket comes back to us we can put it back into circulation, so we can use this flow to manage our work load
Start with COMMON 100, UNCOMMON etc 50, 30, 20, 20 for example
People might want to to buy the tickets speculatively
NEED NEW SCHEMA LAND 2.0 (or better name if we can come up with one)
Will have new pricing data and show a super fun trend line I’d bet.
New Land NFTs would be in their own new UP pool and design it to be significantly but not insanely better than land 1.0
Then over the course of the year we shift MOST if not ALL upliftium weight from land 1.0 to land 2.0 creating more and more (but gentle) pressure to upgrade.
*this would perhaps be its own proposal combined with rewards committee
Basically if you’re upgrading you’re getting more UP as a light additive for upgrading
Massive Cultural Significance to having the NFTs reflect the land or build!
As people upgrade we can write articles around them, those articles become evergreen SEO generators, and a decade from now these NFTs will be historical artifacts.
What could we do around NAMING the plots. Presumably we could have a mutable attribute so people could change the name on chain. Might be ram implication so must charge wax? Make it 10X ram cost or something? Still super small.
Risks and downsides:
One potential risk of this proposal passing has to do with Mojang. Up til now we haven’t made any ‘advancements’ on our land NFTs since their announcement. Although this is just a picture swap the attention it brings comes with a risk of attention from Mojang. As far as we know they haven’t moved to block any NFT-linked project since their announcement so it is unclear how large this risk is.
Similarly the images for plot 2.0 NFTs would in most cases be of a build in MC. As far as we know people haven’t gotten in trouble for selling pictures of minecraft builds and they certainly have some rights to the work they created, but it is another potential risk.
Finally there is a risk that focusing on MC for these 2.0 NFTs will give people the impression we aren’t planning on having all these worlds over on MT as well (which we are). After worlds launch on MT we could extend this program to let people pick a MT build instead so it isn’t a problem, but maybe it will create some perception issues.
