The UpLifters Lenz is a series dedicated to showcasing some of the many amazing buildz caught on camera by our resident architects, interior decorators & designers, maintenance & clean up crews, and the whole host of others in our amazing family keeping the Uplift World in tip top shape by working so meticulously and tirelessly behind the scenes.
For this edition, we will be focused on Seregost Castle, a survival world build we recently became aware of through its submission to our recent Gratitude Build Contest. Inspired by the castle in the mmorpg Lord of the Rings game, Neptune on the Road, Davsan, and their flatmate Sitkoreth have done a truly remarkable job in such a short amount of time with their rendition of this perpetually bitter cold and snowbound region of Mordor castle within the Gratitude sector of our metaverse. And according to them, they are just getting started.
“When my girlfriend Davsan and I started playing in The Uplift World Metaverse, we were just experimenting. I played some Minecraft 7 years ago when I was doing my B.S. in Physics , but I never even killed the dragon. So starting again with Davsan, who actually has never even played Minecraft, was just a small, nice thing that we could do together. After a while she got the hang of killing zombies and really wanted a tower to shoot arrows into the creatures that encompass the night. Because of this, I began searching for a tower design on the internet and found some that I could try. This lead to me constructing the first spire of Seregost.
It was looking very good and I was just amazed at what I could do. After that, we saw the advertisement for the competition, and we wanted to try a nether-like castle to go with our tower. We basically began experimenting with the whole castle, and while doing so, I realized that it was looking a lot like the Seregost castle of Lord of the Rings. We decided to lean on the idea and play with making it look like it was from the land of shadow and plague.
Ironically enough, even though we have finished what we set out to do with the initial build and shop inside, the castle is not nearly done. We have plans to the castle by adding monsters both inside and out. We are also planning to add some special rooms and mazes for people who visit to discover and maybe even host some events in the future.” Neptune On The Road
“This is our first build on Gratitude server in The Uplift World Metaverse. We have been inspired by the Seregost Castle in Lord of the Rings online mmorpg game. This build has many facilities like a built-in shop, an enchantment area, farms, an anvil, and other useful aspects. Even though it is not the most complex nor the hardest built, it took us over 200 hours of work time between exams, work, and research. Our shop is open to everyone now and the castle is expecting its visitors! The builders consisted of NeptuneOlivaw and Dddavsan. Special thanks to SithKoareth, as without him we wouldn’t have finished on time” Neptune On The Road
Although the images above were provided by Jimmy D, the video and story credit goes to Neptune on the Road, a Masters student studying Solid State Physics on the Western most coast of Turkey. Of course as relayed above, much of the credit for this build also goes to Davsan, a B.S. student studying Molecular Biology and Genetics as well as their flatmate and friend on the , Sitkoreth, a Mathematician by trade that helped along the way.
